As of now, Cards of Mocapin v0.1 is looking strong! We have begun seeking outside feedback on design and mechanics through the /r/tabletopgamedesign subreddit. We’ve gotten some great feedback so far. Our strongest influence has been through our initial playtesting. Friends and family make great guinea pigs, because they can’t escape! We’re well on our way to printing v0.2, and we can’t wait to test it out! Below are some of our earliest games from v0.1.

As you can see, there are a variety of shapes the game board (Table) can take. We recommend about 3ft x 3ft to give yourself plenty of room to stretch out. We’ve also begun experimenting with Tabletop Simulator as a way of expanding our playtest pool.
As of now, all illustrations are AI generated, which makes for quick and fun prototyping. Ideally, we would hire professional illustrators to create unique artwork for our cards, but that will require some fundraising. In the meantime, enjoy these sneak peaks into our five different card types in v0.2: Creature, Terrain, Aura, Spell, and Reaction Spell.
Also in the works is the packaging for Cards of Mocapin. Right now the game comes with 84 playable cards, which should fit nicely into a hook box for ease of transport. Simplified rules will be printed on the inside.
